"It's hard to have a 'best show' that doesnt include Pig tunes." You poor, poor lost soul. I suppose you probably wear patchouli oil and protest the Viet Nam war.

You go Charlie! Youngsters seem to grasp that it wasn't only the music that had taken a hit in the later years, it was the fan base. It started with the oh so self important cocaine years and rolled right through the xtc finale. There's a vast difference between 10,000 coked up teeth clenching Al Pacino wannabees and the same amount of hashed out mescaline dropping jello brains. The mood, the vibe, the venue, the gate jumpers, the drugs of choice and yes even the music changed over the years. Folks wanna say that the 80's and 90's were the best, I can't diss them, cause I wasn't there. (But I'll bet they weren't there in 72-78 either.) It's all a matter of perspective.

u guys/gals are a little hipocritical (sp?). What happened to let the words be yours I'm done with mine? First - on the music I think they rocked right up until almost 90 - although I like the older stuff myself. 25 out of 30 yrs aint to bad. Yeah u could fool somebody with a blindfold test once in a while but the stuff as a whole is what u r talking about-no? Pat - THEY WERE PLAYING 6 SONG FIRST SETS AT THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!! As far as the scene - it's like when dancing behind the sounboard (at the edge ofcourse) somebody asked "you can't see him from here can u?". Who needed to see?

I hope you didn't misunderstand CC. I was directing that at Mr. Kelly, not you. And I agree ith the Nitrous observations in your's and Earl's posts. That was my implied point.
